Disposal of transformers with experts
Transformers are our passion. From small local network transformers to machine transformers, we dismantle them into their individual components swiftly in our own BImSchG-approved disposal facility.
For sizes of 100 tons or more, the challenge lies more so in transport than in dismantling and recycling. For large transformers, special road or rail carrier wagons are ideal. For transformers from nuclear power plants, we usually go by ship transport due to their location near water. If necessary due to the underlying conditions, we can also dismantle the transformers on site. Depending on your wishes, we accept your transformers from the foundation or when they are delivered to our yards and will pay the current market price.
Our own vehicles are equipped with a loading crane and have oil pans to ensure that there are no residual leaks even when the transformers are empty. Of course we are also licensed to accept transformers containing PCBs. For your safety and to meet the requirements of the PCB regulation and ADR regulations, we sample the oil of every transformer before transportation. This way, we ensure that all work, waste and dangerous goods regulations are complied with.
Professional recycling of transformers
Our recycling plant is approved in accordance with the Federal Immission Control Act (BImSchG) for the recycling of AVV numbers 16 02 09 and 16 02 13, which are used as waste codes for transformers. In accordance with the Ordinance on Waste Recovery and Disposal Records (NachwV), we will provide you with our collective disposal certificate (SEN) at a reasonable price for quantities of less than 20 tons per source and year. For larger unit or collective weights, individual disposal certificates are created and we sign these digitally as part of the electronic verification procedure. It goes without saying that we will provide you with the legally required waste documentation for each disposal process.

Dismantling of switchgear
We offer complete dismantling and disposal solutions for partial and complete conversions of transformer substations. We undertake the complete demolition and dismantling and recycle scrap as well as copper cables and the dismantled hazardous waste such as transformers, circuit breakers, transformers and oily cables in an environmentally friendly manner in our own recycling plant. We also evacuate SF 6 gas-filled plant components before transportation in accordance with legal regulations.
Dismantling of oily cables
Our teams dismantle your oily cable routes on site and load them directly into suitable containers. We have oil-tight roll-off containers with a volume of 20 cbm in which we transport the cables safely and in compliance with the law. In our approved recycling facility, we accept high and low-pressure oil cables and recycle them in accordance with the statutory regulations under AVV number 17 04 10. We also accept oil-containing joints or cable fittings under AVV 17 02 04.
SF6 gas plants
Especially when it comes to the disposal of SF 6 gas-filled appliances and systems, it is important that hazardous substance- , hazardous goods- and waste regulations are complied with. Depending on the decomposition products contained, very different legal regulations apply, all of which we comply with. We specialize in the disposal of SF6 gas-filled equipment and switchgear and have our own analysis- and evacuation equipment with the appropriate connections for any SF6 gas disposal tasks.
Deconstruction of switchgear
The conversion or dismantling of indoor switchgear poses special challenges in terms of limited space and the removal of hazardous substances. So thought advanced materials were often used at the time of construction that are now hazardous waste when being disposed of. We have the tools and licenses necessary and are able to analyze and dispose of asbestos or PCB-containing adhesives and flooring just as professionally as SF-6 systems or mineral fiber waste. Of course, we will provide you with all required waste disposal documentation once the work has been completed.
Transformer dismantling
We dismantle and recycle transformers of all sizes in our own BImSchG-approved facility. We organize and handle the removal of the transformers and their transport to our grounds. Of course we provide you with the proper waste disposal certificates in accordance with the NachwV. For transformers under 20 tons per source and year, our collective disposal certificate is used.
Moving of large transformers
We have the expertise and equipment to move large transformers from their foundations to a new location or onto a low-loader. We use mobile hydraulic rams, mobile hydraulic pumps as well as the cable winches and hydraulic units of our Unimog to move transformers that cannot be craned due to low roofs or nearby live cables.
